The Sukhoi 57 Russian stealth jet fighter was the first designed to evade detection and capture F-22 Raptors. The aircraft is equipped with an advanced radar and electronic countermeasure suite. The aircraft is equipped with an infrared detector and ultraviolet missile alert system. These systems allow Su-57 surveillance to continue for a longer duration.
Russia has ordered 76 Su-57 fighters. They should be operational by 2028. They will be used in conjunction with the S-70 Okhotnik strike drone, which will act as a "loyal wingman". According to Tass, Su-57's first flight was expected to be in the middle to 2022. Trials of an "electric" Su-57 variant will follow, and are expected to last for two years.
The aircraft is a fifth-generation fighter and was originally designed to combat the F-22. It has a powerful radar, an infrared scanner and a UV missile approaching warning system. The Su-57 also has a 30mm autocannon.

The majority of the aircraft's structure is made from titanium alloys. It is said it is very maneuverable. The Su-57 can climb at speeds of between 330- 361 meters per minute, with a rate yaw of five degree. This allows it high angles of attack maneuvers and low altitude losses. It can also travel up to Mach 2 with no afterburners.
The Su-57 is designed to meet the needs of the Russian Air Force, which requires 150-200 multi-role fighters. The Su-57 may not be available. In that case, the Air Force can turn to the Su-35. This multi-role jet has been widely employed in operations against the UNF, and other enemies.
The Su-57 is getting a new engine called the "izdeliye 30," According to reports it can deliver thrust of up to 16 tons. The AL-41F-1 engine is another in development. Plans are underway to replace hydraulic systems in Su-57 aircraft with electromechanical drives. This will improve stealth characteristics and reduce maintenance.
Russia has been accused, in recent months. of using Su-57 against Ukraine. Though the United States has publicly denied this accusation, the British Ministry of Defense has confirmed that Russia has used the fighter in Ukraine. Despite not having any official evidence, there have been unconfirmed reports since before June 2022 that suggest the Russian Air Force may still be using the Su-57 fighter in combat.

The UK Ministry of Defence continues to monitor the situation in Ukraine. They are focusing their attention on Su-57. It published a Defense Intelligence report on the matter. According to the Defense Intelligence update, the Russians could be planning to launch air-to-air missile strikes into Ukraine and missions over Russian territory. Although details are still unknown, it appears the aircraft may be suitable for Russian missions as its range is greater than that of Ukrainian opposition fighters and has superior sensor capabilities.
