Exoskeletons in Military

Modern military science is astonished at the recent development of exoskeletons for soldiers in combat. These devices can enhance soldiers' physical capabilities by providing additional strength and mobility. They can be used for medical purposes and even to assist firefighters in dangerous situations.

The US Army is currently developing a military exoskeleton. The Tactical Assault Light Operator Suit(TALOS) was designed to increase soldier mobility while protecting them from bullets. A physiological subsystem against the skin would monitor the temperature of the wearer, hydration, and other factors. This system helps to reduce fatigue and injury.

The Defender of the Future exoskeleton is another exoskeleton that the US Army is currently developing. This suit will enable soldiers to carry 150 kilograms of cargo and improve their physical capabilities, including endurance. It helps reduce the risk of injury as it allows the wearer resistance to high speed bullets.

The TALOS program is a collaboration among major research institutes in America. It also involves major defense contractors such as Raytheon, Lockheed Martin and Boeing, General Dynamics, Northrop Grumman and others. It is expected to enter US Army Service in 2018.

The US Army also works on a second exoskeleton for military use. It is much more ambitious that the KOS. Revision Military is the manufacturer of the Kinetic Operations Suit. This suit is light and easy to move, while offering twice the protection of a standard armored uniform. It can also be used by military logisticians for breaking brick walls and wooden beams.

Another military exoskeleton project is being developed by the Special Operations Command. Based on an armored exoskeleton, the Tactical Assault Light Operational Suit is being developed. It allows soldiers to move easily. It also protects them from bullets and shrapnel.

The US Army will soon be able to purchase a lightweight, powered exoskeleton. The TALOS program involves a dozen US businesses and will be available for service in the US Army in 2018. It is based on an armored exoskeleton. The TALOS Exoskeleton is expected reduce physical strain, fatigue and injuries, as well improve shooting quality.

Exoskeletons may also be used in industrial applications. This technology is used in machines for extreme diving and could also be applied to military weapons systems. They have medical applications and can be used to aid firefighters, builders, and skiers. Businesses around the globe are increasingly using exoskeletons.

Ekso Bionics was the first company to venture into the exoskeleton industry. The company supplies bionic suits for rehabilitation centers and hospitals across Europe and the United States. It is also among the first companies that received FDA approval for medical applications of its products. It has been improving the usability of its products. It recently launched a feature that adjusts the stiffness of the foot.

The company also has significant achievements in exoskeleton technologies. They are becoming more intuitive and practical, too.
